The Bones Gulch Haunted event is a collaboration of 3 haunted attractions.

Beware the Dark Realm, Restless Souls Manor and The Farm Haunt.

It's a frighteningly realistic haunted attraction that will have you coming back for more.

This event raises funds for the nonprofit LA County Sheriffs Department Museum.

There will be Trick or Treating each day from the non-scare zone buildings.

Join us if you dare. A brief history...

"It was just after the Mexican cession; the United States government incentivized people to move from the East to the West to help settle the area with American citizens in the newly acquired region.

Ya know, People come in a spectrum; some are saintlike, most are good, and some are bad…

At this time, Peter “Jack” Ossos took advantage and moved to California.

He had heard rumors of gold in California, which sounded like an opportunity he could not pass up…

He traveled to Los Angeles, where he met an old man at a saloon.

Jack inquired about the rumors of gold; the old man told him that he had heard of a place where gold had been close by.

He had tried to find it himself but was unsuccessful. He told Jack he should follow the river north for around 30 miles; there, he would find a branch, and he should follow that branch for another few miles upriver, and he would be in the area where gold had been discovered.

Jack set out heading upriver from Los Angeles.

He found the branch and headed up.

As he worked his way up the dry stream bed, he noticed bones peeking from along the edge of the dry stream along the way and wondered what had happened here.

He came to a town….

There was a sign that said Bones Gulch.

Jack refreshed his supplies at the general store in town. He noticed all the people were just a little odd…

Jack went off prospecting in the local hills in the canyons from the riverbed.

He came to town less and less. Finally, his trips had reduced to picking up food and supplies. He always paid with gold dust or nuggets…

Jack became known as a recluse, and people were always uneasy when Jack was around.

There was a rumor jack had found a vein of gold in one of the canyons after digging a mine. We don’t know what else Jack found in his mine, but it indeed had an influence on him…

Jack made a few acquaintances in town.

When he was in town, he was noted to be seen at the local doctor’s place and the undertaker’s shop, in addition to the general store and the saloon…

People came and went around the little town of Bones Gulch; often, the least wanted, and lower class would disappear…

You know, the kind folk that most wouldn’t care if they disappeared.

Often they were last seen on the edge of town near the river bed.

Every once in a while, someone would head off to the canyon and not come back…"
