Topa Topa Brewing Co. is surrounded by some of the most gorgeous and incredible geography on the planet: the Channel Islands (called “North America’s Galapagos!”), the Sespe Wilderness, the miles of pristine beaches from Point Mugu to Point Conception, and of course the Topa Topa mountains that gave us our name.
Historically, Oktoberfest was the celebration of the Crown Prince of Bavaria’s wedding in Munich, which translated into a global celebration of German beer (especially lagers!) from mid-September to early October.
In our home region of Santa Barbara and Ventura County, Oktoberfest aligns with the advent of "second summer" where residents get to enjoy all of the Summertime experiences in nature that we could ever ask for, but without worrying about available campsites or crowded trails.
What better marriage to celebrate than sunshine and warm weather being hitched to September and October?
Oktopafest is an opportunity for Topa Topa Brewing Co. to extend an invitation to our community to get outside and savor the beauty of this place we call home.
From 12-5 pm, we’ll have food vendors, musicians, and a combination of non-profits, retailers, artists, activity clubs, and outfitters all joining together to help invite our community to engage with all the natural wonders that surround us.
